About Your Guide and
Our Founder

Andrea Jaramillo BSN, RN, CHPN (she|they)
Andrea is a bilingual hospice nurse, urban farmer, ceremonialist, and beekeeper-in-training. As the founder of Forest Nurse, they guide people in deepening their relationship with nature through intentional, beautifully crafted therapeutic experiences. A certified forest therapy guide, Andrea brings expertise in both birth and end-of-life care to support individuals through life’s sacred transitions—and the quiet, everyday moments in between. Originally from Ecuador, Andrea honors ancestral wisdom, weaving Mesoamerican and South American traditions into their practice. They believe that cultivating a reciprocal relationship with the land is essential to its care and protection. Seeing nurses as guardians—stewards of both human and ecological well-being—they envision a world where care extends beyond the individual to the entire living system, fostering collective regeneration.
Forest Nurse was created to rekindle the deep, innate bond between people and nature—one that has been strained by modern life. In a world where stress, disconnection, and digital overwhelm have become the norm, many of us have lost touch with the healing presence of the natural world. Forest Nurse exists to restore this relationship, offering spaces for reflection, restoration, and reciprocity with the land. Through guided experiences, education, and research, it invites individuals to slow down, listen, and remember that nature is not separate from us—it is a source of wisdom, care, and belonging.
Building on their own journey of healing, Andrea combines their nursing expertise with the restorative power of nature to guide others through mindful immersion experiences. Rooted in inclusivity and accessibility, their sessions are offered in both English and Spanish, ensuring that cultural and language barriers do not stand in the way of connection and well-being. As a nurse, they bring a deep understanding of the body and mind, creating a safe and supportive space for all participants—whether adapting to physical limitations or offering gentle emotional guidance. Through this work, they extend the same care and reciprocity they found in nature, helping others experience its profound healing.
